The inactivity of the January transfer window thus far looks set to explode if rumours surrounding the club are anything to go by.
With Robert Green hovering around the exit door, the main movement in the striker department may surprisingly involve a major arrival rather than departure.
According to Clubcall, the club have not been put off a move for Cardiff City prodigy Cameron Jerome by Bluebirds chairman Sam Hammam's £3.5million price tag, and are set to splash money generated by the sale of Green on the 13-goal hitman.
It is also possible that City would consider selling Dean Ashton if they had a ready-made replacement, but either way it seems unlikely that the club has enough to capture Jerome without selling a major asset.
