Former Norwich target Cameron Jerome looks set to join relegated Birmingham City from Cardiff.

Birmingham, who are expected to lose a number of players following their unexpected demotion from th Premiership, will pay £3.5million for the striker, who was linked with Norwich, Sheffield United and West Bromwich Albion before agreeing to leave Ninian Park for St Andrews.

Steve Bruce, who seems to have put off any idea of leaving Blues in light of their relegation, will see Jerome, 19, as a ready-made replacement for Emile Heskey, a target for Blackburn Rovers and Wigan Athletic. Mikael Forssell and Jermaine Pennant are also likely to be on their way out of the midlands as well.
