All quiet on the Kuqi front

It looks like being a quiet day in the transfer market for Norwich City as manager Nigel Worthington said that inquiries were ongoing, but didn't appear to hold out much hope for bringing in reinforcements before the midnight deadline.

One player mentioned was former Ipswich striker Shefki Kuqi, now apparently surplus to requirements at Blackburn. Worthington expressed an admiration for the player, but that no inquiry had been made.

“He's a player we like, but he is not someone we have inquired about,” he said. “There are inquiries that are on-going but I am not holding my breath. It's all quiet on the western front. If you speak to different managers it's pretty quiet all around.”
