Allen to be named new boss?

The increasingly difficult job of hauling an abject Norwich City off the bottom of the Championship will be given to Martin Allen this week, according to the People newspaper.

The former Leicester, MK Dons and Brentford boss has apparently been interviewed twice already for the Carrow Road hotseat, and will reportedly be appointed this week.

Caretaker boss Jim Duffy called on the board to make an appointment as soon as possible as the side slipped to another defeat at West Brom yesterday.
