Another departure for City

The canteen at Norwich's Colney training ground will have plenty of empty tables come July unless Glenn Roeder can begin bringing in new faces rather than losing familiar ones.

The latest in a seemingly never-ending line of departures from the club this summer is Dave Carolan, the Head of Sport Science at the club who was originally brought in by Bruce Rioch in 1998.

Carolan looks likely to be replaced by legendary fitness and conditioning coach Steve Black, who was at Carrow Road towards the end of last season and who counts Newcastle United's rise to prominence under Kevin Keegan's first spell as manager and Jonny Wilkinson's World Cup-winning mental toughness among his successes.
