As I See It

Is Hucks good enough for the Premiership? Yes, I think he is. He has the pace and skill to worry any Premiership defence. People say he hasn’t done it in the past but he had a very successful spell with Coventry in the top flight, where his partnership with Dion Dublin proved lethal at that level.

I think confidence is very important for Huckerby. When he is settled and knows his manager believes in his ability then he will perform, like he will do for Worthington. Under Keegan he was not considered good enough and cast aside for the likes of Robbie ‘I used to be good once but now I’m a bit slow and crap’ Fowler. This lack of confidence shown in him would have affected his self belief and therefore his form.

At Norwich Huckerby is adored, his manager pushed the boat out to sign him so he is trusted to perform and believed in by his Manager. Hucks also appears to be happy in Norfolk and he knows that at 28, this is his chance to prove to everyone that he can perform in the Premiership.

So Mr Huckerby, you’ve got the manager’s faith, the love of the fans, you are happily settled in Norfolk and most importantly you have the ability to be as good a player as you want to be.

Hucks to finish top scorer with 30 goals anyone?
