West Ham's Dean Ashton, until January a Canary, has been named in the England squad for next week's friendly international with Greece.
Ashton, who moved to Upton Park for over £7million in the winter transfer window, is the first sign of change since the end of Sven Goran Eriksson's reign. He replaces Theo Walcott, a move which many felt at the time might have been a better option for the World Cup.
The chances are that as part of the transfer to East London, Norwich will have inserted a clause entitling them to more money in the event of Ashton becoming a full international.
