Black Cats to move for Leon?

The expected arrival of Roy Keane as Sunderland manager could be one of a number of moves in and out of the Stadium of Light, one rumoured to involve Norwich striker Leon McKenzie.

Big striker Kevin Kyle is set to join Coventry City in a £600,000 deal in the next 24 hours and the Mackems, flush with cash from Niall Quinn's summer takeover, are likely to put the cash towards a bid for unsettled McKenzie.

Coventry themselves had a bid turned down for the former Peterborough man, and have turned their attention to strapping Scot Kyle. The Championship striker merry-go-round is also likely to involve a move for Sam Parkin, a former target for Nigel Worthington, from Ipswich to either Luton or Preston.

The main target for Worthington, who has made no secret of his need for a big foil to complement Robert Earnshaw, remains a mystery.
