Leeds United's manager was a shocked man to learn that striker Rob Hulse is a target for Norwich.
Blackwell returned from a short trip abroad to be confronted by reports out of East Anglia that Nigel Worthington has the former West Brom man at the top of his shopping list.
"I've been out of the country for four days and must admit you've caught me by surprise on this one, I didn't know anything about it," Blackwell admitted.
"I can't comment on it and won't comment further until I'm back in Leeds and that's all I can tell you."
