Bluebirds reborn as Canaries

Norwich boss Nigel Worthington will bring two old friends together as his new strikeforce tomorrow afternoon.

New signing Robert Earnshaw looks set to be joined in attack by former Cardiff City teammate Peter Thorne, who will return from illness. One of City's other deadline day signings, Jonatan Johansson, looks set to make way.

“They were both at Cardiff and they enjoyed playing alongside each other, which is always a plus,” Worthington said of Earnshaw and Thorne. “Thorney holds the ball up well, which is something we didn't do particularly well last Sunday.

“In Jonatan Johansson and Robert Earnshaw you have got two strikers who like to play off a big man. Both have got good pace, both can score a goal but it's an awkward one trying to play those two together. Circumstances dictated that on Sunday."

The boss will be hoping the pair rediscover their old magic at the KC Stadium as the Canaries aim to complete a double over Hull.
