Brown move unlikely according to coach

While insisting that a list of targets has been discussed by the management team at Carrow Road, Norwich coach Paul Stephenson has played down talk of a bid for former charge James Brown.

Stephenson worked with Brown during his spell at Victoria Park but, while acknowledging that the 21-year-old has had a good season, concerns remain over his long-term fitness.

"He was a very good young player," Glenn Roeder's right-hand man told the Norwich Evening News. "He had his fair share of problems with injury in pre-season three years ago and it knocked him back a hell of a lot.

"We've got a lot of targets and we have obviously got to find a lot of players, but we've got our main priorities that we want to go for first and I wouldn't say he was one. He was a striker for me and he's scored a lot of goals. He's a good finisher. It's just that niggling doubt about his knee."
