Canaries Deny Green Reports

Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric has been quoted as saying that his club had been quoted a £2.5 million fee by Norwich for the England international keeper, but Canaries chief executive Neil Doncaster has slammed these reports.

"We have seen quotes attributed to Milan Mandaric, the Portsmouth chairman, apparently suggesting that we have told Portsmouth that we would sell Robert Green for £2.5m - this is totally inaccurate," Doncaster told the club's official website.

"We have had no contact with Portsmouth whatsoever about Robert Green.

"We have spoken to Portsmouth expressing our anger and disappointment about their claims, which are wholly without foundation."
