Pattison, 21, turned up at Norwich's Colney training base on Sunday wearing just a t-shirt and underpants. He had been tailed by police after being spotted driving erratically.
The South African-born midfielder had been out to a nightclub following the club's 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United and had awoken believeing he was late for training.
He is said to be checking in to the Sporting Chance clinic in Hampshire before his date with Norwich magistrates on March 31st.
