City set for 'keeper exodus?

Norwich City boss Nigel Worthington could find himself needing a goalkeeper or two as Paul Gallacher was linked with a move back to Scotland.

The 25-year-old, who joined from Dundee United in 2004, has failed to make any impact at Carrow Road as Robert Green remains immoveable from between the sticks. His contract will expire in the summer, by which time he is unlikely to have made a single first team appearance. Clubcall today touted the Scotland International for a return to Tannadice, with Worthington said to have rebuffed an advance from United in January.

Also on the move will be Darren Ward, with the Welsh international also coming to the end of his deal and currently sidelined with a back injury. Ward, formerly of Nottingham Forest, will be allowed to leave on a free transfer.

Three international goalkeepers could become none, however, with Robert Green increasingly linked with a move to the Premiership. The Academy product is highly likely to be the only player from the Championship in Sven Goran Eriksson's England World Cup squad, and has consistently been linked with a move to Everton, with Fulham and Portsmouth also mentioned as possible destinations.
