City to chase Hartson loan?

Having lost the services of one Welsh striker, Norwich boss Peter Grant is tipped to move for Robert Earnshaw's former Welsh international colleague John Hartson in a loan move.

Grant has limited striking options with new signing Chris Brown yet to settle, Dion Dublin filling in sporadically at the back, Earnshaw probably out for the season and Peter Thorne clearly not up to scratch, and has been alerted to the potential availability of West Bromwich Albion's Hartson.

Hartson has fallen down the pecking order at The Hawthorns and is believed to be interesting the Canaries and fellow strugglers Leeds, whom Grant's team defeated 2-1 on Saturday to leave Dennis Wise's boys at the foot of the Championship.

The 'emergency loan' window does not open until Thursday.
