City to rest stars for cup date

Wantaway striker Leon McKenzie could be one of a number of fringe players given a chance by Norwich boss Nigel Worthington as his side travel to Plainmoor for their Carling Cup first round match with Torquay this evening.

Robert Earnshaw, Darren Huckerby, Youssef Safri and Gary Doherty are among those who could be given a breather after a hectic start to the season which sees City unbeaten in their last three games.

McKenzie, Ian Henderson, Craig Fleming and Andy Hughes are likely to be involved, fitness permitting, in a match Worthington is keen to win to maintain early season momentum.
