Norwich's search for a long-term partner to Robert Earnshaw could be nearing an end with the news that the Canaries are in talks with Sunderland striker Chris Brown.

The Black Cats revealed earlier today that Brown and Jon Stead had both been the subject of offers and were set to enter into contract discussions. Manager Roy Keane has already strengthened his attacking options with the capture of Arsenal youngster Anthony Stokes.

Brown, 22, has been linked with a move to Carrow Road before. He has scored three goals in 10 starts this season.
