Common sense prevails as Gunn named new boss

Canaries legend Bryan Gunn will continue in charge of the team for the rest of the season, aided by two other prominent figures from the club's history.

Ian Crook, a teammate of Gunn's in the successful side of the early nineties, and John Deehan, who played for, coached and managed the club, will link up with Gunn as First Team Coach and Chief Scout respectively.

Gunn, who was previously Head of Player Recruitment, took charge of the team following the departure of Glenn Roeder, and led them to an impressive 4-0 win over Barnsley in his first match. It is reasonable to assume he was already involved in targeting particular recruits, a job that can now begin in earnest with the January transfer window shrinking.
