Depleted City to meet their match in wounded Wolves

Midfielder Andy Hughes has been ruled out of Saturday's clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers, but the visitors are not the only ones licking their wounds.

Hughes joins Leon McKenzie and Jason Shackell on the sidelines, with Jurgen Colin and Youssef Safri officially doubtful for the Molineux clash. Former Reading man Hughes strained a thigh muscle early in Tuesday night's win over Cardiff.

Former England boss Glenn Hoddle, however, faces the Canaries without Jackie McNamara, Carl Cort, Kenny Miller, Michael Oakes and Paul Ince. In short, the backbone of the midlands side will be unavailable, including their potent strike partnership of Cort and the highly-rated Scotland man Miller.

Wolves are on a porr run of form without their stars, and City, rejuvenated by their hard fought win over the Bluebirds, will hope to profit against the side they defeated in an epic play-off semi final in 2002.
