As Norwich's season stutters on, Neil Doncaster has again been moved to quash rumours surrounding individuals at the club - this time over manager Nigel Worthington's contract.
The Chief Executive, who has taken to periodically slamming scurrillous gossip about events at Carrow Road, released a statement to www.canaries.co.uk detailing the extension to the boss' deal in 2004.
It had been thought that Worthington had negotiated a bumper package of around four or five years, but Doncaster says today that it was merely a rolling 12-month deal with wages dependent on the club's divisional status.
Speculation about the Ulsterman's future in light of his side's recent struggles had led to talk about a potential pay-off, but the facts are intended to show that Worthington is being shown loyalty by the board because of his own loyalty to the club.
