Drury injury fears allayed

City defender Adam Drury could be back in action as soon as the weekend's clash with Leicester after being given the all-clear.

Drury lasted only 36 minutes of Friday's disappointing defeat at Turf Moor when an awkward fall caused an elbow injury. It was feared that the full-back might miss a substantial amount of the rest of the season.

"The x-ray was clear, there were no fractures or anything like that," City manager Nigel Worthington told the club's official website.

"We're obviously delighted with the news. Adam's arm is still sore and tender but the pain is easing all the time and, all being well, he should be okay for the weekend."
