Drury looks to take out frustration on Crewe

Norwich defender Adam Drury believes that Tuesday night's clash with Crewe Alexandra will present the Canaries with the perfect opportunity to show the Championship what they can really do.

The former Peterborough man told the official club website of his frustration at the side's failure to impose themselves on Coventry City in their opening draw on Saturday, but emphasised his manager's insistence on sticking to the club's passing principles.

"We've got a point, and that's something to build on," said Drury, "but we have got to go out on Tuesday night and look for the three points."

"We've got to try and play our way," added the full-back of City's uncharacteristic use of the long ball in response to the Sky Blues' tactics. "We have to stamp our authority on the game."

Tuesday's visitors already have three points in the bag after their opening day victory over Burnley, but they are followed to Carrow Road by Crystal Palace on Saturday before the Canaries travel to the other relegated side, Southampton, a week later. Norwich were not alone in finding it tough adapting to their new surroundings. The Saints were held at home by much-fancied Wolves, while Palace suffered a surprise home defeat to promoted Luton.
