Eastwood rumours circulate

Wolves striker Freddie Eastwood will leave Molineux after one season, with four Championship clubs vying for his signature, including Norwich.

Online football news outlets have Derby, Crystal Palace and the Canaries joining Coventry in the race for the former Southend hitman. The Sky Blues are the only club to have publicly stated their desire to capture the Wales international, with Chairman Ray Ranson revealing that a renewed bid would be made for a player they tried to sign during the past season.

Norwich, then managed by Peter Grant, tried to sign Eastwood last summer but were beaten to the punch by Mick McCarthy's Wolves. Glenn Roeder is known to be after a proven goalscorer and will certainly have Eastwood in his thoughts.
