Forbes Backs Canaries

Forbes has only recently ruined Norwich's latest opponents Bradford City's FA Cup campaign by scoring 2 goals in a 2-1 win for Division 2 side Luton Town.

Forbes believes Norwich have got what it takes to make it to the big time and doesn't see them having their traditional Christmas slump as they have too much 'quality'.

"Traditionally Norwich have blown up around Christmas time but this time they don't seem to have done that with nine points from their last three league games," said Forbes.

"You can certainly see City going all the way this year and I think that the difference is the amount of quality in the squad.

"Other teams like West Brom have big squads but the difference with City is that, although they might not have as many numbers, what they have got is a lot of quality," he reiterated.

Forbes also described Bradford as an very 'average' side who Norwich should roll over.

"I'd say Norwich are going to have a field day against Bradford," exclaimed Forbes.

"Their best player was their left-back, Heckingbottom, and we all know where came from!

"To be honest, they were very average but on paper they look like a good team with the likes of Wetherall, Armstrong, from Ipswich, and Windass in the team, but we came in after the game and all said we could see why they are where they are in the league," added Forbes, who made 121 senior appearances for the Canaries.

"I'd expect Darren Huckerby to cause the likes of Wetherall a whole load of bother with his pace."

Forbes has done extremely well since signing for Luton having scored 13 goals this campaign and although he looks back at his time at Norwich as 'Stressful', we hope he keeps banging in the goals to help Luton up into Division One.

Of course he will still have to wait to his return to Carrow Road as Norwich will be in the Premiership by then but he can look forward to getting 'booed' at Portman Road.
