Forster staying open to Toon exit

That has prompted Magpies boss Chris Hughton to put up the 'not for sale' sign, but Forster admits he has now developed a taste for first-team football at Carrow Road.

Forster is desperate to make the grade at St James' Park, but he is not ruling out leaving the club should he return to warming the bench with the North East giants.

"We'll just have to wait and see what happens. Obviously I want to kick on and make it at Newcastle, but never say never," the 21-year-old told The Pink'Un.

"If your football is going well it makes your whole life easy and if it's not going well, wherever you are, life is not great. But I'm absolutely delighted to be here.

"It's nice just to play week in, week out. It's something I've never really done before and once you get in the team you just want to stay there and especially when you're winning. It's brilliant, there's no better feeling.

"Obviously I think I'll be back to Newcastle because I'm just playing games here and getting experience, and I've got a long-term contract there, so I'll be going back and hopefully pushing for the No.1 - but it's not easy when there is Steve Harper there as well."
