Gunn tipped to continue

Norwich City's beleaguered board look set to stick with Bryan Gunn as permanent manager despite his failure to reverse the club's slide to relegation.

Gunn, who took over from Glenn Roeder is January, has no previous experience as a manager, and many fans would prefer a manager like Aidy Boothroyd or Paul Ince with a proven track record of success down the divisions.

The Board, however, are reluctant to see the sort of upheaval of the whole backroom staff that accompanies a change of manager. Ian Butterworth, Ian Crook and John Deehan joined Gunn on his appointment and have had little time to make much impact.

The Daily Mail believes Gunn, who was fiercely critical of his side's last day capitulation at Charlton, is keen to continue and will be given the chance by those in charge at Carrow Road.
