Republic of Ireland international Ian Harte could be set for a move to East Anglia, according to reports.

Full-back Harte is currently at Sunderland but has started only three times for the Black Cats, the most recent being the 7-1 defeat at Everton in November. He has now become a target for Norwich manager Glenn Roeder as well as for Jim Magilton, his opposite number at Ipswich.

The 30-year-old moved to the Stadium of Light last summer after three years in Spain with Levante. He previously made his name during a nine-year spell with Leeds United, during which time he played in a UEFA Cup Final and a Champions League Semi-Final. He has played 64 times for Ireland including in the 2002 World Cup and has 11 international goals.

Harte is set to move in the summer and could provide competition at Carrow Road for Adam Drury at left-back, a position currently being filled by loanees Mo Camara and Ryan Bertrand.
