Centre-half Leon Barnett completes a two-game ban while left-back Simon Lappin is also suspended after picking up his fifth booking during the 4-2 home win over Sheffield United on Tuesday.
Fellow defender Elliott Ward (calf) and on-loan midfielder Henri Lansbury (hamstring) are ruled out "for a few weeks" with Andrew Surman (knee) a long-term absentee.
Jens Berthel Askou replaced Ward against the Blades although Zak Whitbread is another option after he came off the bench late on to make his first appearance of the season. Long-serving Adam Drury should slot in at left-back for Lappin.
An unnamed player has picked up a knock and is doubtful but striker Aaron Wilbraham will go straight into the squad after joining from MK Dons.
