Cardiff City striker Warren Feeney is the latest name to be linked to Carrow Road, although Norwich would face competition from Glasgow Rangers, Charlton and Huddersfield, according to reports.

Feeney, a Northern Ireland international with 31 caps and 4 goals, spent last season on loan at Dundee United and has been expected to leave Ninian Park this summer. He scored six goals last season, but cracked three in the last four matches of the season.

The 29-year-old began his career at Leeds and had his most successful goalscoring periods at Bournemouth and Stockport. He cost Luton £150,000 but delivered just 11 goals in over 80 appearances. His career goal average is just 0.26 per game.

City have also been linked with Derby striker Liam Dickinson and Shrewsbury's Grant Holt in the striking department, while Bryan Gunn has already lured Matthew Gill and Owain Tudur Jones to bolster his midfield and last week signed Michael Nelson to shore up the defence.
