Jackson named player of month

After 20 games without a goal, the Canada international has netted nine goals in his last seven matches - including the winner at Portsmouth which clinched promotion.

Jackson scored eight times during April, claiming hat-tricks in the 6-0 home win over Scunthorpe and the dramatic 3-2 victory over Derby at Carrow Road.

Sky Sports' Football League expert Peter Beagrie sits on the npower player of the month judging panel and said: "After going more than 20 games without a goal, Jackson produced a show of true marksmanship in April.

"He began May in similar style, scoring the most important goal of his career to secure Norwich an automatic promotion spot."

Meanwhile, boss Paul Lambert was pipped to the manager of the month accolade by Reading`s Brian McDermott.
