Barnsley's hopes that the crucial red card given to defender Anthony Kay just 12 minutes into their mauling at Carrow Road might be rescinded have disappeared.

Referee Iain Williamson has said he will not change his mind over the decision to send off the Tykes man and award a penalty for a pull on Robert Earnshaw. Earnshaw converted the spot kick, with the Canaries adding a further four goals, while former Norwich trainee Paul Hayes gave the visitors brief hope with a goal before half time.
