Lambert was sent to the stands in the closing stages of the game after remonstrating with referee Michael Oliver.
After the game Lambert said Oliver's decision to send off Grant Holt was "ludicrous" and labelled the referee's decision as "pathetic".
Lambert has until Friday November 19 to respond to the charges.
