The summer transfer rumours have begun in earnest with Leeds United's Jermaine Beckford expected to start next term a division higher whether or not Gary McAllister's side secure promotion, according to the Daily Mirror.

Beckford, 24, has scored 19 goals this season as Leeds have tried to overturn a 15-point deduction. His form is said to have attrcted the attention of Norwich, Wolves and Charlton, although Fulham and Derby were sadi to be interested in January, when the striker reaffirmed his commitment to the club who groomed him.

Glenn Roeder, who the Mirror also reports has banned his players from nightclubs after matches in the light of Matty Pattison's drink-driving conviction, is known to be chasing a striker. He is likely to be back in for some of Peter Grant's targets last summer, with Freddy Eastwood well down the pecking order at Wolves and Robert Earnshaw linked with a return to Carrow Road.
