Out of favour Norwich striker Leon McKenzie has been refused a transfer by the club.

McKenzie, 28, has yet to start a match this season, and has formally requested a move. Nigel Worthington has, however, stated his intention to keep hold of the former Peterborough man.

"Leon is an important part of the football club. He is highly thought of by myself and the staff and supporters and is a very important member of our small squad," Worthington told the club's official website.

"As far as I'm concerned he is not for sale and will remain at Norwich City.
