Midfielder told to rest

Notman suffered the injury in the local derby game against Ipswich back in September when he took a knock on his shin bone.

City had initially thought Notman would be back in action within two weeks, but the problem is worse than first feared.

A club spokesman said: 'Doctors have advised him to rest completely as there is a strong danger he could make it worse.'
