The man whose side inflicted Norwich's worst ever home defeat could turn gamekeeper in record time as Colchester boss Paul Lambert looks set to be unveiled as Norwich boss.

Lambert, a former Scotland international and Champions League winner, fits the profiel of a manager with experience who is currently employed at another English club, as outlined by David McNally yesterday.
