City boss Nigel Worthington says that the club have run the rule over Carlisle United striker Karl Hawley, but will not be making any signings before the summer.

Speculation earlier this week had Hawley, who has 20 League Two strikes to his name this term, has attracted attention from several Championship and Premiership sides. Worthington admitted the Canaries have had a look at him, but that they have had a look at lots of others as well.

“He's someone we've run the rule over,” he told the Evening News, “but we keep tabs on a lot of people.”

On the impending transfer window closure at 5pm tomorrow, Worthington added that, "nothing will be happening during that time."
