Norwich predicted lineup vs Brighton - Premier League

Norwich travel down to Brighton on Saturday knowing that failure to win would all but condemn them to relegation.

They do have reasons to be optimistic though, with the Seagulls going into the game off the back of six successive Premier League defeats. Saying that, Norwich are hardly in vintage form themselves and have also been rocked by injuries to several key players.

Here is the starting XI that Dean Smith is most likely to turn to in order to get the job done...

Norwich predicted lineup vs Brighton - Premier League

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Tim Krul (GK) - Krul has had a busy season, being forced into 73 saves in just 22 games so far.

Sam Byram (RB) - Max Aarons is injured which means Byram will have to play out of position on Saturday. Nothing worse than seeing a number three line up at right-back...

Grant Hanley (CB) - Missed out on Norwich's last game – a 3-0 defeat to Leeds – with Covid-19, but has had more than enough time to recover.

Ben Gibson (CB) - Much criticised this season but with Ozan Kabak out, he will keep his spot in the first team.

Dimitrios Giannoulis (LB) - This game comes too early for injured Man Utd loanee Brandon Williams and Giannoulis will take his spot.

2. Midfielders

Pierre Lees-Melou (CM) - No Norwich midfielder has completed more tackles this season. Impressive, considering the Frenchman has only started 18 games.

Mathias Normann (CM) - An untamed presence in the middle of the park, Normann's pass completion rate of 65.5% makes for pretty grim reading.

Kenny McLean (CM) - Hard to pinpoint why he's so popular with Dean Smith, but he rarely misses a game.

3. Forwards

Przemyslaw Placheta (RW) - Josh Sargent's injury means Placheta will likely be handed a rare start on the south coast.

Teemu Pukki (ST) - Pukki is comfortably the Canaries' top scorer in the Premier League this season with eight goals. His closest challenger, Sargent, has just two.

Milot Rashica (LW) - It's been a struggle for the formerly highly-rated Kosovan this campaign. He's managed just one goal and two assists.
