No Tettey return
Norwich will again be without midfielder Alex Tettey because of a knee problem for the Barclays Premier League clash against Southampton at Carrow Road.
On-loan Sporting Kansas City forward Kei Kamara is pressing for a place in the starting XI after some impressive displays as a substitute.
England goalkeeper John Ruddy continues his rehabilitation from thigh surgery and is set for a return at the end of March, but winger Andrew Surman is not expected to play again this season after a minor operation on his knee.
Despite their industry, Norwich head into the clash having recorded just one victory in their last 11 Premier League games - and that courtesy of a stoppage-time winner from Grant Holt to beat Everton.
Midfielder Robert Snodgrass accepts the team have to be "more ruthless" if they are to avoid being dragged into a battle for survival, currently with a safety net of eight points.
"We have put in some good performances, but just not scored enough goals and so need to be more clinical, if we can do that on Saturday then we will get three points," said Snodgrass, who has weighed in with five goals.
"As a winger, you try to put as many crosses in as you can.
"It is simple, we just have to put the ball in the back of the net, which is why the gaffer has said we need to be more ruthless.
"Maybe it is just about that little bit of magic in front of goal, whatever it is, we need to add that to our game."
Southampton will check on the fitness of Adam Lallana and Danny Fox.
The pair were forced off during last Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to QPR with neck and quadriceps complaints respectively.
Luke Shaw was limited to a substitute appearance in that game due to a recent thigh problem, while Vegard Forren will be hoping to make his first-team debut after appearing for the Under-21s against Liverpool on Monday.
Boss Mauricio Pochettino is not even entertaining the prospect of relegation, despite his side sitting precariously in 16th place.
"At the moment I am not thinking about that," Pochettino said. "The only thing I am working on is getting better every day and getting better results."
After back-to-back defeats to Newcastle and QPR, victory would be a timely boost for Saints.
"We need to go in search of a positive result after two negative results," Pochettino added.
"If we are able to get the three points, it will put us with those teams that are also fighting but are a little bit higher up the table.
"I haven't set myself a number of points to achieve to stay up. What is my absolute desire is to win the next game."
