"It was a brilliant result for us today, I enjoyed every minute of it. To be honest it was a shame we didn't win.

"Today was a great experience, better than last season. I played against them for Peterborough and we got beaten 5-0!"

"The gaffer told us not to give them too much respect. Our home form is good and could see us through, we showed that in the second half today.

"It's a nice distraction but the league is our main priority."

Malky Mackay

"I'm delighted with today's result but disappointed that we didn't win the game at the end. Their goalkeeper made some fantastic saves but as the game went on we looked the more likely of the teams to win it.

"I see today as a bonus for us. The replay is also good, to be able to play against world class opposition. I've never played at Stamford Bridge before so am looking forward to it.

"We can take a lot of confidence from the game today and we can go there and put in a strong performance. We took it to them and played well.

"It won't take anything away from the league though, that's our main focus."

Nigel Worthington

"Their keeper made some world-class saves and kept them in the cup tie but that is why he's there.

"If you had given us a 0-0 draw at the start, we would have probably taken it.

"Chelsea are a very good side and we have respect for them but my lads did themselves and the club proud.

"We have to go there and produce another performance like that to get anything from the game.

"Financially it's a plus point having the replay though and then if we could get into the next round, it would be terrific."

Claudio Ranieri

On the subject of keeper Carlo Cudicini's inspired performance: "It was important for Carlo. Everyone is happy that after four games in which we conceded eight goals, we have not conceded any here.

"He played very well but it wasn't only down to Carlo. The result depended on a lot of things.

Against Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester United, he also made good saves and we won."

Ranieri also insisted that he had no worries about using John Terry, who was charged with assault and affray on Saturday after an incident in a nightclub, as a substitute in the game.

"John Terry played very well, just like usual," said Ranieri. "I have no worries about him. He's a good man."
