Glenn Roeder suffered another loanee setback yesterday as Dutchman Maceo Rigters returned to Blackburn after only his second substitute appearance for the Canaries ended in a torn hamstring.

Rigters, 24, last less than 15 minutes of the 2-1 defeat at Bristol City and is now touch and go to make any further appearances for Norwich before his loan spell officially ends at the end of the season.

Roeder has previously seen Middlesbrough defender Matthew Bates have to end his loan at Carrow Road prematurely after suffering a recurrence of a serious knee injury.
