Roeder chases striker

Glenn Roeder continues to scour the loan market for a striker after seeing his side waste a hatful of chances in their 1-0 defeat to Stoke City last night.

Jamie Cureton was the chief culprit for the misfiring Canaries, although Ched Evans and Dion Dublin also failed to find the target. Dublin now has one goal in his last ten appearances, while Evans has not hit the back of the net since his brace in Cardiff seven games ago.

With Norwich drawn back into the fringes of the relegation picture following successive defeats, Roeder is keen to add goals to avoid repeatedly 'shooting themselves in the foot'. He said he is searching the loan market but admitted that if there was anyone suitable, he would already have brought them in.

City travel to Sheffield United's Bramhall Lane at the weekend.
