The number of new faces needed at Carrow Road increased behind the scenes today when boss Glenn Roeder cleared out the back room.
Sports scientist Dave Carolan, chief scout Alan Wood, Academy Physiotherapist Rod Dyer and his assistant Peter Shaw, Academy Education Officer Darren Bloodworth were all shown the door along with Neil Adams, the most high-profile of the departures.
Adams, a former Norwich winger with over 200 Canaries appearances, had coached the Academy since 2001, taking charge of the under-14s. His column in the Eastern Daily Press had caused irritation to Roeder, however, and his departure does not come as a huge surprise.
Roeder will now have to begin a massive recruitment campaign on and off the pitch to replace the six staff and potentially 15 players he could lose this summer.
