Glenn Roeder is reported to be looking north of the border for a substitute for Scottish defender John Kennedy, who has returned to Celtic nursing a knee injury at the end of his successful loan spell at Carrow Road.
Kennedy's Parkhead colleague Darren O'Dea, 21, is one of the names linked, as he has been previously to both Norwich and Ipswich. O'Dea, however, has featured in recent Scottish Premier League clashes including the Old Firm derby, so may not be going anywhere.
Another name strongly linked is that of veteran Scottish international Christian Dailly, currently at Rangers. Dailly worked with Norwich boss Roeder when the pair were at West Ham, and the 35-year-old could provide a short term solution to the lack of depth in the Canaries rearguard.
