Roeder sacked

Norwich City will begin the search for a new manager this afternoon after Glenn Roeder was sacked following the club's exit from the FA Cup.

With the club outside the Championship drop zone only on goal difference, the Canaries board decided to act to remove Roeder, as well as coaches Paul Stephenson and Adam Sadler, with immediate effect.

It is not yet clear who will take charge of the side for the weekend's clash with Barnsley.
