Seventeen-year-old Academy graduate Rossi Jarvis has followed in the footsteps of his older brother Ryan and signed professional terms at Carrow Road.

The defender, who has been with the club since the age of eight, had been linked to a move to the Premiership in recent weeks, prior to even starting a match for the Canaries, but was delighted to commit himself to two and a half years in Norfolk.

“This means a lot to me,” said Rossi. “I'm happy to get it out of the way so I can concentrate on my football and develop as a player and hopefully help Norwich push for promotion back to the Premiership.”

Boss Nigel Worthington was pleased to complete his second signing of the nascent transfer window, albeit both players having already been available to him.

“For it's just nice to get it all tied up and the lad can now concentrate on establishing himself in the first team group and from there, look to push on for a place in the team. He's worked hard and now he's got his reward.”
