Safri wage demands too high for Albion?

The uncertain future of Moroccan midfielder Youssef Safri continues this morning with reports that his wage demands may price him out of a move to West Bromwich Albion.

Clubcall reports that Safri, who featured in the Canaries' season-opening defeat at Exeter, is asking for £10,000 a week from Tony Mowbray, while the Baggies are only prepared to offer £6,000.

West Brom are expected to tie up the signing of another midfielder, Felipe Teixeira, imminently, while Norwich seem content to keep Safri to offer as many options as possible in midfield.
