Second string given experience for Ipswich visit

Norwich's reserve side will go into their home match with local rivals Ipswich Town boasting more familiar names than they have been able to field for some time.

Peter Thorne, Simon Charlton, Zesh Rehman and Jurgen Colin will all start along with up-and-coming youngsters like Ian Henderson, Ryan and Rossi Jarvis and Michael Spillane.

The Jarvis brothers, Henderson and Spillane will be among those hoping to be given a chance in Nigel Worthington's first team now that pride is all that is at stake, and tonight's clash with the Canaries' Suffolk neighbours gives them a chance to press for a place as well as avenging a 3-0 reverse earlier this term.

Joe Lewis, Andrew Fisk and Matthew Halliday are the only members of the starting line-up without first team experience, with Lewis in particular hoping to impress in light of the probable departures of fellow goalkeepers Paul Gallacher and Darren Ward in the summer.
