Skipper leaves Canaries

The family values of Norwich City have been reinforced by the arrival on the board of directors of another husband and wife couple.

Andrew and Sharon Turner, owners of the Central Trust mortgage company, bought out Barry Skipper's 5,000 shares and loaned the club the princely sum of £2million.

The loan should ensure the future of stars like Robert Earnshaw for next season, and hopefully allow for further investment in an underachieving squad. It wipes out the hole in the finances created by the end of City's parachute payments from the Premiership.
