Slipped disc to end Ward's Canaries career?

Welsh international goalkeeper Darren Ward could have made his last contribution to the Norwich cause after he was ruled out for the season with a back injury.

Ward, who has made only three senior appearances for the club, slipped a disc in the warm up for January's FA Cup Third Round tie with West Ham. He was later called into action after Robert Green suffered concussion.

The 31-year-old has not recovered as expected and will require an operation. With his contract set to expire in the summer, it could be the end of his Canaries career.
